hello btdg ! sorry na-overlook ko yung question mo the first time, nwei, wala pa akong definite agency yet, i am hoping to get a direct employer sa NY through a friend there. God-willing something good happens with it. kung wala naman, ok lang din, i'm not really in a haste to go to NY since I am somehow enjoying my work here in ksa. what i'm doing now is to prepare myself for the toefl/tse/twe and the npte as well. if plans pushed through, sa 2nd quarter of nxt year magte-take ako. as to the agencies, if and when i'll be compelled to have one, siguro i'll choose APMI, lots of my friends were able to come to the US through them, although i've been hearing bad remarks about them lately, but the thing is, i 've been hearing bad remarks about the other known agencies as well. i guess what is really important is to set ones foot first sa US, if they can do them for you, them we'll just start from there. lie, glad to have you here! congrats! malapit lapit ka na sa goal mo as a PT. goodluck sa pag-aaral. keep on posting!

hello.yep your right i would like to ask about the steps in NYSED.Pls do inform regarding the process. From what I understand: 1.) I have to start first with FCCPT.But the application says that I should not fill up that application (FCCPT) if I am applying for NY.What that does mean?(hehehe.pasensya ka na pre slow ako.) ;D 2.) then I will then apply for NYSED,right? 3.) the agency also told me that I can also start with NYSED so that my application with NPTE at Guam can be fast. Maybe you can shed light to this.thanks. my email ad is icecrispies@hotmail.com

hi! bago lang den ako dito. and kaka-pasa ko lang den ng local boards. i dont know actually where to post this question, magkano ang singil niyo sa home therapy session??? ang sabe kase saken P500 for musculoskeletal conditions and P700 for neurological conditions. may nalaman kase ako P400 singil sa isang client na stroke. kailangan ko i-confirm to, kase ang alam ko nasa code of ethics na bawal maningil ng mababa sa usual na sinisingil. tama ba ako? ehhe thanks.

Hello everyone!
Parang wala masyadong nagpopost ha. Don't let our forum die. ehehe! I'm RP, batch 2000 from AUF.
So far, my case was picked from the VISA Lottery (H1B) and waiting for my TOEFL this June. Para ma complete ko na ung VISA Screening. Tapos getting ready for the NPTE.
As far as I know, P500 above na ung PF ng mga PT's. I think that is fair naman kasi sa taas ng tuition fee natin nong nagaaral pa tayo.
Keep in touch po my PT brothers and sisters. Goodluck and God Bless!

hi sir von,,bago lng po ako d2 sa PT Forum na i2,,,kkapasa ko plng po ng board exam this feb 2008 lng,,i have 3mos of volunteer experience sa hospital
i see that you are currently working at riyadh,,
I need ur feedback about this sir von,,tska pwede nyo po ba akong matulungan makahanap ng trabaho sir?
Thanks po d2 sa Filipino PT Forum. Godbless!!

Hi there! ;D NY state has different way of accepting applicants to work on their state. They have two separate agencies for you to pass all the requirements. FCCPT New York Verification Process The New York State Education Department (NYSED) requires applicants for licensure as physical therapists and physical therapist assistants to obtain independent verification of the authenticity of their credentials from a NYSED-approved Credential Verification Organization (CVO). FCCPT is an approved CVO by NYSED to verify credentials in these two professions. If you are a foreign educated physical therapist or physical therapist assistant seeking a license to practice in New York State, you need to complete an application for New York State Credentials Verification and submit it to FCCPT. There is a separate, additional application for licensure in New York State, the Application for Licensure and First Registration. In order to be licensed in New York State, you must complete that application and send it to NYSED, not FCCPT. It is available at www.op.nysed.gov/pt.htm. Requirements for New York Verification Process include: Copies of high school and college diplomas or leaving certificates, which are notarized as true copies of the original. Notarized attestation form and photo from applicant with signature. New York State Credentials Verification Request (one form for each higher education institution). New York State Licensure/Registration Verification Request (one form for each foreign license or registration). Fee = U.S. $355.00FCCPT Comprehensive Credentials Evaluation (Type I Certificate) This service is primarily for the individual who has never been licensed to practice physical therapy in the U.S. and who will need a visa that permits employment from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The FCCPT Comprehensive Credentials Evaluation (Type I Certificate) service has two components. The first is a comprehensive evaluation based on FCCPT’s approved guidelines. These guidelines meet or exceed the minimum credential requirements for licensure in most U.S. jurisdictions and for USCIS. The evaluation determines whether or not your education is substantially equivalent to a first professional degree in physical therapy in the U.S. Second, the service also verifies compliance with USCIS requirements for a Healthcare Worker Certificate by documenting compliance with English language proficiency requirements and verification of eligibility to practice in the country of education. The Type I Certificate is a Health Care Worker C Certificate required by USCIS. The following jurisdiction licensing boards require all aspects of the Type I certification process: Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, D.C. Applicants should check the licensure requirements in the jurisdiction prior to applying for services. Requirements for a Type I applications include:Copies of high school and college diplomas or leaving certificates which are notarized as true copies of the original. Notarized attestation form and photo from applicant with signature. Official transcripts/marksheets sent directly from the institution for ALL higher education. Offical course descriptions or syllabi sent directly from the institution for all physical therapy coursework. (FCCPT already has syllabuses for some schools and some graduation years in its library. You should check “View Progress” after the application has been submitted to determine if FCCPT already has the appropriate syllabus). Verification of all licenses and registrations showing eligibility to practice in country of education, sent directly from the appropriate agency. (If licensed in the U.S., verification of U.S. licensure from the jurisdiction, and NPTE score transfer is required). English proficiency examinations (TOEFL, TWE & TSE or TOEFL iBT) scores are to be sent directly from the testing agency. Fee = U.S. $660.00. A surcharge is assessed for jurisdictions that require a conversion to a state specific tool, (California, New Jersey, Texas). Applicants should check jurisdictional requirements. Check the website ww.fccpt.org Note: NY state has the fastest when it comes to approval process but expensive as well. Hope this help! More Power to all Filipino PT's!!!!
