just the other day, a stranger emailed me asking if I am applying for a credit card in the US... I found out from that email that someone was actually using my name and personal information for that particular transaction!!! they managed to trace the "impostor's" transactions online and managed to shut out his email accounts, marked his DMV license for police action, etc.
the stranger was kind enough to tell me that the reason the impostor got hold of some of my personal info was through a posted resume on a job website catering to health jobs in the USA.
So, as a warning to everybody (especially to some whom I knew often post their resumes online on job websites), please scrutinize as well as limit the amount of info you''re going to post online as well as send to an email address. email addresses can be faked also nowadays. Technology helps but it can also bite you in the end. INTERNET IDENTITY THEFT IS VERY RAMPANT SO I CALL ON EVERYBODY TO LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE.
