PPTA 2010 National Convention
"Theme: Broadening the Reach of the Filipino Physical Therapist"
December 4 & 5, 2010 (Saturday and Sunday)

THE ORGANIZATION
The Philippine Physical Therapy Association, Inc. (PPTA) is a local professional organization of Filipino physical therapists recognized by the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission and member organization of World Confederation for Physical Therapy and Asian Confederation of Physical Therapy which envisions Physical Therapists to become a legally mandated autonomous profession with established areas of specialization, the value of excellence in service upheld in its practice, and at the same time being recognized by clients, colleagues and the community.
THE CONVENTION
This year’s National Convention envisions the broadening of reach of the Filipino physical therapist. The conference aims to:
• Discuss the current Philippine practice situation based on the current PT-OT Law (RA 5680) and bring out necessary changes that will support the future direction of PT practice in the country.
• Enhance and improve Filipino physical therapist’s organizational and practical skills to further develop competence and ethical service to the Filipino people
• Increase Filipino physical therapist’s awareness of the needs of clients and patients in the face of modern society
THE EXPO
In response to the rising demand and focus in upgrading the service of physical therapists, the expo will feature a comprehensive and streamlined showcase of the latest innovations in the medical industry, with the sole purpose of displaying the newest goods, products and services available to medical industry.
DELEGATES’ PROFILE
The PPTA 2010 National Convention hopes to gather its members, local and international colleagues, students of the profession and future physical therapists in the scientific proceedings.
EXHIBITORS’ PROFILE
Exhibitors shall include local suppliers, health companies, health products and recruitment professionals, Banks, Insurance and Financial companies offering Investments, services companies, Retail Companies and Foods targeting Filipino Physical Therapists.
