I will be going to the states by mid march but will only be staying there for 3 months. I currently have a tourist visa and is planning to change it into a working visa. I have the following questions:
how long does it take to apply for a license when i pass the exam?
how long does it take to get a temporary working permit in New York?
how long does it take to convert my tourist into a working visa?
1. what can i do in three months. I know I can take the exam and get the results ASAP but is 3 months enough to 1) apply, process and get my license when i pass? 2) change my tourist visa into a working visa?
2. I know I can take the New York NPTE in any state but if i pass, can i get my license as well in any state? or do i have to go to New York to get it? Can i get it in 3 months?
3. If were to stay in New York, can they give me a temporary working permit while i change my tourist visa into a working visa? can i find a job that will allow me to work for only 3 months?
