;D If your planning to review in INTELKINETIQ, then all of the reviewer's needed fpr the boards, may it be local reviewer or state board reviewer , they have it all and already compiled....like past board exams, schucman,segielman,rembe,iowona, etc...or if you have a friend who review at I.Q. before then you just have to borrow it........take note : only in I.Q. where you can find corrections for all the questions in the reviewer because not all of the answers in the reviewers are correct. hi guys anu na bang mga bagong lumabas na mga reviewer last 2000 pa ko grad. and im planning to take the board this feb. 2007 what are the requirements from the prc and pls help me about the best review center specially for me na nalaklimot na yata thanks...

Hi goosebumps and cheska....I'm also a 2000 batch graduate..after ...six/seven long years...I'm also planning to take the board exam also..I'm here in Saudi Arabia now..and working on a different field.... I'm planning to take the local boards by July/August 2007...kalawang na kung kalawang....but I already started reading and reading,, but its really difficult...self-review after that seven long years.....mahirap.... so if you could help with this also....if you knew some review centers that could offer online review sessions...please email me....longlostPT@yahoo.com

Hi, everyone! I just want to add and update my post here... I'm from October Batch 2003 graduate.. Anyway, mejo hilo na ko kakahanap ng thread na related sa concern ko. At this moment, I haven't tried to take local board exam. My current status here in the phil. is waiting for the result of my student visa application for UK. Kung di palarin magka-student visa this year, I will continue my career as PT and step by step narin to go to US. BTW, I'm looking for an "up to date" reviewers and review centers (local boards) here in Manila. Sobrang tuyo na utak ko. I am looking forward to here something from anybody asap... inxs: balita ko sobrang konti na ng population ng mga PT students and graduates ngayon 2008. vinox..... hi! I suggest na mag enroll ka sa review center para ma refresh sau lahat and para magkaron ka ng idea kung anu ung style ng mga questions sa exam... Me too I'm planning to take local PT boards this july and batch 2005 ako graduate.... goodluck

 . hi to all! Just recently joined this group hoping to get the feel again on what it is to be with fellow PT's..or should I say wannebee registered PT's. I hope there is someone out there who shares the same dilemma with me. I have the desire to take the local PT board after more than a decade. As of now, I'm alone in this and I can't manage to open books again and read/review on my own. Maybe you can share some new references or reviewers that I could read. thank you.

My advice is to go for a review center. The review centers will be able to guide you on what to read and what topics to concentrate on. Local boards is more of, well for me is kind of "bookish". That is if the PT Board was not able to change their format or their way of presenting the test questions. Based on my experience Local Boards are very specific in a way that it is again "bookish"
Let's compare:
Local Boards:
A client involved in a motor vehicle accident sustains an injury to the posterior cord of the brachial plexus. Which muscle would not be affected by the injury?
1. infraspinatus
2. subscapularis
3. latissimus dorsi
4. teres major
NPTE - US Stateboards :
During a postural screen for chronic shoulder pain in a recreational swimmer, the therapist observes excessive internal rotation of the shoulders and winging of the scapula during overhead motion. Intervention should focus on:
A. strengthening of pectoral muscles and stretching of upper trapezius.
B. strengthening of upper trapezius and stretching of pectoral muscles.
C. strengthening middle and lower trapezius and stretching of pectoral muscles.

I really appreciate your quick reply and thank you for the sample questions. You are right po, bookish nga ang approach ng local board exams and more on analysis ang sa NPTE, based on the sample questions you posted. I thought however that after 10 years, they have changed the approach. Regarding the review centers, I'm still contemplating coz I'm working..and quitting my job would be a huge undertaking and I'm seriously considering this option. thanks! Happy to have joinec d the forum..

Your welcome!
All you have to do is to decide and pray hard so our Lord will guide you on whatever decisions you will be having. Sometimes we have to give up something. The oppurtunity is NOW! I am telling you.
By the way, the books i mention above are actually the latest editions and some are the current books that are used. Like for example, the Prosthetics/Orthotics book before is the one by NYU but right now the one by Seymour is being used. And also for Physical Agents book the current one is by Prentice. Just ask the review center for guidance. You don't have to read all the books.

sana may forum din na nagbibigay ng recall questions dito...padi po kaya kasi mahal po sa review center...speaking of review center pdi po kaya makipagsit in if ever na may final couching nila????aask ko lang po if may nakakaalm....TIA

ang alam ko ang SRG kapag Enhancement nila or final coaching they allow guest na gusto mag take ng board na umattend ng final coaching nila.. naka attend na ako minsan..
