The Philippine Physical Therapy Association (PPTA) would like to invite you to become one of our LIFETIME MEMBERS. The PPTA is the only professional PT organization accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission. It is the only Filipino member organization of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) and the Asian Confederation for Physical Therapy (ACPT).
Since its foundation on December 8, 1964, the Philippine Physical Therapy Association or PPTA has served as a relevant organization for the betterment of the delivery of physical therapy services in the Philippines by advancing the cause of the Physical Therapy profession and practitioner. It strives to:
1. Serve as a vehicle for professional development of physical therapists practicing in the Philippines through the provision of continuing education activities, facilitation of access to international publications, dissemination and utilization of research and development pertinent to PT practice in the Philippines;
2. Develop and maintain excellent standards of PT practice in the Philippines;
3. Serve as a proactive channel of the Filipino physical therapists in local and international policy-making, with the view of defining the PT profession;
4. Enhance interaction between Filipino physical therapists and other providers of health care; and
5. Enhance the role of PT in the Philippine setting through public education of provision of service.

The ImPeTus is the official journal-magazine of the PPTA. It contains organizational updates, special features, scientific papers, and researches done by Filipino physical therapists. As the accredited professional organization by PRC, and through our linkages with DOH and CHED, the PPTA has always been involved in policy-making activities. As members, you shall be informed and invited to actively participate in all of these events. TAKE PART IN EFFECTING ADVANCEMENTS IN OUR PROFESSION!
ü leadership and administrative opportunities
All members are encouraged to be part of any of the activities and any of the working committees of the Association, and hopefully, in the future, be leaders of the different Chapters of the Association.
