The Physical Therapy profession in the Philippines is currently in a stage of dynamic growth and development.
These times call for PT professionals who are capable of practicing with competence, autonomy, and accountability.
Clinical Reasoning is one of the important skills to be able to practice with such responsibility.
This half-day seminar introduces the basic concepts of Clinical Reasoning.
It will allow the participant to start practicing Clinical Reasoning consciously in clinical cases.
Speaker:
Catherine M. Capio, MScErg, PTRP is a Physical Therapist and Ergonomist.
She obtained her B.S. Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM CAMP),
and her M.Sc. Ergonomics from the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden.
She was the previous Program Head of the Clinic for Therapy Services
and was a member of the PT department of UPM CAMP.
She also taught Clinical Reasoning in the Master of Rehabilitation Science Program of UPM CAMP.
She is also one of the editors and contributors of the Workbook on Clinical Reasoning.
Currently, she is one of the partners of Biomekanika and serves as consultant to pediatric therapy clinics and industrial settings for ergonomics applications.
