The president of the Federal Supreme Court, Minister Gilmar Mendes, determined that the states of Espírito Santo, Paraíba, Paraná, Goiás, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo present a payment plan for court orders, within a maximum of days. The minister is the rapporteur of Federal Intervention actions that are being processed in Court to claim payment of the bonds.
Mendes made a similar determination in federal intervention processes relating to these six states, grouping the requests into a single order per state. When setting the deadline for sending the precatório payment plan, the minister Austria Phone Numbers List made reference to the Internal Regulations of the STF, which in its article , item I, establishes that the president of the Court, upon receiving the request for federal intervention, “will take the official measures that seem appropriate to remove, administratively, the cause of the request”.
In the decisions, the minister states that when preparing payment plans, the chronological order of court orders must be observed, as established in article of the Federal Constitution. He also notes that the -day period begins “from the date of acknowledgment of the order”. In his decisions, the minister requests a “detailed plan with a schedule for fulfilling the aforementioned obligations, at a reasonable date, considering, for this purpose, the chronological order of court orders”.
The minister actually classified the situation of default on the part of the states, municipalities and the Union as “notorious and worrying”. “If on the one hand there is the scarcity of resources and the reserve of what is financially possible, on the other today we see a situation of profound discouragement and disbelief among the population in the settlement of such debts”, said the president of the STF.
