I guess nobody is willing to take a stab on my question regarding PPTA website! moderator anybody? I just want to keep in touch esp the updated new laws affecting PT practice their in the island. It's easy to sit here and wonder or not ever care about the progress or lack of PT practice in the PI coz' I practice in the states but the reality is I'm still a filipino and most importantly licensed to practice over there. I care about the profession and sure wish to heaven that I can reach out and help in my own little way. I didn't study 5 years over there, study and passed the board and not care. And I'm pretty d**n sure that most PT's in the PI share my sentiments. All I want is a base, a forum or venue to set dialogue, exchange ideas and create change and improve the quality of practice. Sure this site is currently serving that purpose and I applaud the people that started it. However, I think PT concerns should be dirceted to and answered by the PPTA. Maybe somebody out there can fill in and add to my opinion. Thank you.

Hello Jeff! This is the same issue that i brought up two years ago to the PPTA with regards to their website ... ppta.netfirms.com/cgi-bin/YaBB/YaBB.cgi?board=Small_Talk&action=display&thread=1035688921&start=0This is also the same reason why I thought of creating this forum and TFPT yahoo group ... health.groups.yahoo.com/group/thefilipinotherapist/ Needless to say, it was not created to rival the one with the PPTA but rather to complement it, as the latter is limited to PPTA license professional members only, while TFPT Group caters to students and non-license professional as well. I have friends in the PPTA that keeps me inform on the latest issues facing the organization. Just recently the PPTA held an elections for the term 2004-2006. We have Royson Mercado, one of our moderator here, who was elected anew to the Board of Officers. Still on the agenda of PPTA I believe is the lobbying in support of the passing of the revisions to RA 5680. I am more than willing to post here the propose amendmends to the mentioned law in the next coming days. Your message here attest to what I've said to the PPTA way back then, "that there are a lot of our colleagues out there who are very much willing to help, if asked to do so..." Thank you for your post. I certainly hope to hear more from you! God bless The Filipino PT! von
