Imagine that you are a recently promoted Rehab Facility Manager
and it is your first day at work in your new position.
You are to report to the Medical Director, be sure to:
A) Introduce yourself
B) Express your enthusiasm for your new position at the facility, and
C) Extend appropriate wishes, assurances...
You will have 30 seconds to prepare your remarks.
Do not start speaking until I tell you to do so.
BEGIN YOUR REMARKS NOW.
Sample answer:
Good Morning! You're Dr. Chandra, the medical director right?
Sir, I am Mel Brooks, your new Rehab Manager.
I look forward to working with you closely, sir.
As it is my first day, I am also looking forward to your
guidance and assistance during this transition.
I hope I can satisfy your expectations and I aim to fulfill
the duties and tasks required of my position.
I am confident that this will be a wonderful experience for me.
Thank you again for accepting me.
Tip: Always look up at the projected acts that you were directed to do (A..B..etc.)
but always remember to start with a greeting (hello, hi, time of day greetings, etc.).
End remarks with a “have a nice day”, “see you later”, “catch up with you later”,
“see you round break time” or appreciative gestures like “thanks again”, etc.
(depending on situation… if situation is grave like a condolent or sympathetic situation, make adjustments).
Congratulatory remarks are easiest to think out so it won’t be much of a problem for you.
Personalize! persons you are talking to, describing situations, etc. so you would not have a hard time talking
(be animated!)
