Hello, I am new to this thread and I have a situation. I am a Dual citizen from the usa. I came to the Philippines in 2010 to study for PT, now I am about to finish my internship next month. I would like to take the state boards this october the latest early next year. Here is where I am confused.... I was told that local boards are not a requirement for me since I am a US citizen. I want to start reviewing here in the Philippines at SRG in a couple of months and send the required documents to FCCPT. What would the proper steps for me to achieve PTRP by 2015 hope you guys can help me out here. thank you

You're a dual so you don't have to. But for your peace of mind I think it would be better for you to take the local just so you'd be more prepared to take the npte. Also check the fsbpt website.

if fccpt will require local/Ph PTs to submit the papers from PRC, maybe you need to take the exam... let's wait for other's advise..

there is no need for you to take the local board if you are a US Citizen but i guess taking it would also help in your preparation for the NPTE.

I guess you need to take local boards since you finished your PT in the Phils, you are still considered foreign educated PT.
