Good day!
We are fourth year BS Public Health students at the College of Public Health, University of the Philippines Manila undertaking a special study about volunteer Filipino physical therapists as part of the requirements for our degree. The objective of this project is to describe the work situation of Filipino physical therapists that have done volunteer work. In particular, it will look into volunteer responsibilities, workload, work environment and occupational hazards.
Entitled “Work Situation of Volunteer Filipino Physical Therapists,” this project aims to describe the work situation of volunteer physical therapists in a clinical setting, particularly in tertiary hospitals in the Philippines.
You are invited to participate in this twenty-minute survey if you
(1) are a Filipino physical therapist
(2) worked as volunteer, preferably from October 2009 to the present, and
(3) did volunteer work within this period in a tertiary hospital in the Philippines
Through this study we hope to describe the work situation of physical therapists who volunteer for the information of concerned agencies of the health sector, health establishments, academe and various organizations or associations. The information may be used to promote the welfare and rights of volunteers, which ultimately affects the quality of care the public receives from them.
Answering this online survey, it is assumed that you have read and understood the purpose of this study and are willing to contribute to it. Any information disclosed will be strictly confidential and used only for the purposes of this study, so we request that you go through all the questions and answer them honestly and to the best of your ability. Your contribution as a respondent will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your participation!
