Dear PTs in the Philippines:
Pleasant greetings from the Wound Care Institute of the Philippines! I am happy to announce that the 1st Philippine National Symposium on Wound Care will be held on April 30-May 01, 2011 at the Hotel Rembrandt in Quezon City. I am writing this letter to ask your most esteemed organization to be part of the said symposium.
I believe that wound management is multidisciplinary and clinicians like ourselves are very much part of this field. We will be very appreciative if you will be part of this event in the Philippines. The symposium speakers are being finalized at the moment. Exhibitors, advertisers and sponsors are likewise invited to participate. As a true believer in education when it comes to wound management, I believe it is very important for us all to learn from each other and share our expertise in wound management. We are optimistic that we can promote wound care in the Philippines and the rest of the world.
There will be a main conference at the grand ballroom with a maximum capacity of 500 people. This 2-day Main Conference will have different speakers- all experts in their respective fields. During the same time, there will be a Concurrent Session which can only accommodate 100 people. This will be held in a separate function room and the Basic Wound Care Course: A Practice-Based Overview which is an approved continuing education course here in the USA for PTs and PTAs in 7 States (CA, IL, WI, MD, NV, AZ, and NJ) will be offered. The Main Conference will also be submitted for approval for PTs and PTAs in California and Maryland and RNs in California. Attached to this letter are the outlines for both sessions.
Fees for this symposium are P2000 ($50) per professional and P1500 ($45) for each student. Special pricing for international delegates can be arranged if requested in advance. Prices are inclusive of materials and food. If you are interested in being an advertiser, sponsor or exhibitor, please contact us via email woundcare.philippines@gmail.com . I look forward to hearing from you and I do hope we can join hands in this endeavor.
Exhibitors in Wound Management will be present. Representatives from the World Union of Wound Healing Societies will be present.
Speakers will be multidisciplinary including Certified Wound Specialists (CWS) from the US who are PTs.
Sincerely,
Thomas Joseph Foz Foronda, PT, DPT, CWS
