I'm still considered a newbie in this Forum and I would like to get to know anyone who's still practicing here in the Philippines and for how long already.

hi! bago lang den ako dito. and kaka-pasa ko lang den ng local boards. i dont know actually where to post this question, magkano ang singil niyo sa home therapy session??? ang sabe kase saken P500 for musculoskeletal conditions and P700 for neurological conditions. may nalaman kase ako P400 singil sa isang client na stroke. kailangan ko i-confirm to, kase ang alam ko nasa code of ethics na bawal maningil ng mababa sa usual na sinisingil. tama ba ako? ehhe thanks.

Hello peeps!
I've worked as a PT volunteer for the longest time na. But for my home care services, I charged between 500-600. Usually stroke cases.
Kaunti talaga ang opportunities dito sa Pinas. I would suggest that you try to get experience.
Wag muna mag call center kasi baka talikuran nyo na yung pagiging PT. Although you can use the training in call centers pag mag TOEFL ibt kayo.
I have friends kasi na after graduation, naging volunteer sila for a long time. Tapos naging paid PT pero baba ng sweldo. Pero tiniis nila yon for about 5 years. Ako nag call center, ganda sweldo pero kulang ang PT experience chaka walang confidence sa pagiging PT.
Ayan tuloy, nauna na sila sa US. I got stuck here in the call center. Moral of the story, prepare for your LONG TERM GOALS and get ready to make big sacrifices if you want to reach them.

i'm still practicing here in pinas, and trying to help patient's here especially those who needs rehabilitation. I am fulfilling my dreams here, kahit sobrang baba ng sweldo pero tiis pa rin kasi kawawa naman mga kababayan natin dito.. but i also want to go abroad, pag talgang wala ng halaga ang PT dito, mas pinananiwalaan pa kasi nila ang mga manghihilot.....

Hello. 2000 grad here. Nagtrabaho ako sa hospital from 2002-2006. Nagcall center and then ngayon nagbabalik loob. Most of my colleagues are already in the States or the Middle East. Suggestion ko din wag muna magcall center. Yes, malaki sweldo compared sa PT but if magastos din ang lifestyle mo, pareho lang din plus mas chance pa na ayaw mo ginagawa mo. Don't get me wrong. Maraming PTs na umasenso sa call center industry. My point is if you find being a PT is your calling, stay in the healthcare industry.
Maiba ako. Since nagbabalik loob ako sa PT, tanong ko na din kung ano-ano mga latest na books ngayon. May ebooks ba nun? Baka pwede ako makahingi ng list? Saka I believe kulang pa ako ng units, san ako makakakuha nun? Salamat ng marami.

Hi, regarding your question about e-books, yes, marami na pong latest edition ng reviewers now and I highly suggest getting them on-hand rather than e-books kasi complete. If you need additional units, meron pong school sa Banawe, Quezon city, I forgot the name of the school, pero sure ako na katapat po yun ng Philippine Orthopedic Center.
