Anu yung pinaka d' best sa inyong PT center/clinic nung nag iintern pa kayo? That is, in terms of knowledge learned and camaraderie among co-interns? Ako, I like my rotation in Lucena United Doctor's Hospital, in terms of the clinical experience kasi tama lang ang dami ng px at ng co-interns, (sa iba kung hindi toxic sa px, toxic naman sa co-interns, sobrang dami!) aside pa sa mababait yung mga CS that time. I wonder kung nasan na sila ngayon? I also like my rotation in Baguio, who wouldn't like it anyway, it was April of 97! Kakamiss talaga!

i wont forget my stay in Baguio Gen, aside for the fact na napakalamig doon, imagine i was there december 1998, super ang lamig talaga and my co- interns were all cool!.

As an intern (AY 1997-1998), I think I was very fortunate to have been given the chance to practice my skills in very good training centers. Here is a list of all the affiliation centers (in chronological order) I 'went through:' - Lung Center of the Philippines (before it got burned down): provided me with very good in-patient / acute care training; pulmoPT lectures are the best! (I still remember them by heart!); galing ng CSs - Philippine General Hospital: I think I would have to skip this one coz am already working here as a staff PT (and as Head of the PT Training Directorate); para walang bias - Sports Physical Therapy Center / Clinic (UP Diliman): taught me to be an independent learner; we (there were only three of us then sa clinic) had the chance to experience how to run a clinic (hehehe); met a lot of new friends (athlete patients) - Clinic for Therapy Services (UP Manila): best pediatric therapy center! best pediatric therapists (CSs) I've seen!; learned not only PT skills for pediatric therapy, but also the basics of pediatric speech and occupational therapy theory and techniques (basic language stimulation, behavior modification, levels of play, etc, etc, etc) - Community-Based Rehabilitation (Montalban, Rizal): variety of exposure to different programs: teacher/therapist sa SPED; home therapy; family conferences and kapitbahayan lectures; geriatric care; transdisciplinary approach; learning to live with very caring foster parents! - The Medical City: my only exposure to a rehab setting in a private-owned institution - Tala Leprosarium: galing nung lectures!; I enjoyed doing wound dressing; dito lang ako naka-meet ng co-interns from various schools (san na kaya yung mga naging friends ko from Bicol?), sa mga nauna ko kasing centers puro UP, La Salle, and UE lang ang nakasama ko. I really had so much fun during my internship. I hope I could get connected again with my co-interns back then!

I gained a lot of skills in Veterans Memorial Medical Center, hindi lang dahil sa mga elderly patients that you have to offer a great care but super hirap din nung may on-call patient kasi from the ward ibababa mo sila sa Rehab Department....That's how it is in Vet, but still i enjoyed my stay there kasi natuto rin ako about orthosis/prosthesis part ng PT.
Next one is Olongapo, dahil sa mardi gras and all the nightly gimmicks.....lalo na sa Coffee shop with the biggest taco ever!

hehe... the renowned coffeeshop taco of subic... nagsesebo na di pa rin ubos, plus the ice tea that tastes like gulaman. ;D brought two batches of co-interns to gapo for grand duties only, not rotations (luckily we have a house there!) my best rotation??? East Ave. Med Center, especially during the 5-day makeup (to defend myself, was unjust and uncalled for in the first place) wherein I got to handle all the modalities and equipment the facility has got to offer on dozens of patients save for their pool/tank equipment... all because a regular intern for that period decided to extend his absence, hence his patient load becoming mine anyway, the toxic experience was well worth it, I just hate people passing up their responsibilities, taking advantage of other's presence. the second is Iba general hospital in zambales... asteeg, grand duty sa 100 islands (a mere 2-hours away)... cool environment, surf, sand, rain, sun, mountains, farms... even got to purchase an Aeta indigenous bow and arrow for a mere P100 (usually costs thousands internationally).

I'd go for ELKS/PCPI.. that was way back JULY 1999. and i jz happen to be our BATCH president.. ;D I'd learn a lot too about life not just thru gimmicks and I.S. but everyday once i get to handle and see a lot of the pedia patients.. eventhough and despite of the physical limitaions and impairments they have, you would still be able to see and feel how wonderful and full of love, truth and happiness their smile and eyes have upon you..

My best PT clinic during my internship? I think MCM (medical Center Manila), bakit nga ba? Madami akong natutunan d2, theoretically and clinically.
Second in the rank is my dasma rotation, my first month. Bukod sa wla kaming patient, gabi-gabing gimik, byaheng tagaytay at kung saan-saan, tuloy gabi-gabi ring ng-oover the bakod kmi...I miss those days. And I miss him...

for me the best center would be at vicente sotto medical center in cebu...u really learn a lot cos yung hindi mo matutunan or magawa sa ibang center ay makikita mo sa sotto. like pagkuha nang sutures, wound management, exercise with a burn patients, hydrotherapy sa malaking pool, and rare cases makikita mo dito we even have "hataw" every morning wherein we give exercises to all patients sa ortho ward with music and drums!!!! hehe!...and during weekends all interns have time to go to mactan, cebu and do some kayak...and during afternoon we have mountain climbing sessions..really fun...and very toxic!...i'm from iloilo doctor's but we have rotations in cebu...this is for fun as well as learning! but the most memorable one would be my rotation at st. lukes!...gimik and gala nang walang katpusan...plus the friendship we have made....kakamiss!!! miss you batch 2003 st. lukes!!!! """best batch ever daw tayo!!!! hehe!!!!!...

Best clinic??? Heheheheh don sa mga clinic na may IS ako hahhahaha JOKE....
First best for me is Veterans Memorial Medical Center (Nov 1999) coz okay talaga yung lectures nila especially sa ortho.....four groups diba.....stroke, ortho, pulmo and OPD (of course naging S1 ako, tama ba?

Well para sa akin, I would say I had my awesome clinical internship would be Metropolitan Medical Center. Idk, most of the interns would avoid this rehab center dahil daw toxic. But nothing beats my first rotation. Hehe. Kahit na dyan ako madaming makeup duties.
