:-/I am afraid we Filipino PTs here in the Philippines is currently having problems concerning the scheduling of NPTE exam in Guam .This statement was taken from FSBPT website: ALERT: Effective October 18, 2006 exam scheduling will no longer be available at test sites in the U.S. territories and Canada . If you are currently scheduled to take an exam in the U.S. territories or Canada , you will be able to sit for the exam as scheduled. All future examinations may be scheduled at any of the approximately 300 testing centers in the United States The decision of the FSBPT not to hold the exam in Guam is somewhat sad especially for us who plans to register for the exam with the FSBPT. For those who were not able to register before October 18 and have to take the exam in US Mainland or Hawaii in December. We do not know if the US embassy will be lenient in allowing us to take the exam within their territories. This is yet another test for us PT's especially for those about to take the NPTE. What would be the implications on this filing for H1b petition or immigrant visa petition? In lieu of that development, some employers should try their best to request to the consul to let you take the exam here in Mainland, if they still won’t allow us they should argue to the USCIS that they need to approved the case without the license since there is no way for us to take the exam elsewhere.
